The Majumdars had a jam-packed finale to 2005. We were able to see some of the world’s best golfers including Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh play in the HSBC Open at our local club. As golf is gaining popularity in China, the Chinese are trying to attract the world’s best golfers in order to further promote the sport. For Shaun, Jay and Papi, it was amazing to see what the professionals can do at the course we play on. The boys also got a signed ball from the eventual winner of the event, David Howell.
Over the Thanksgiving break, we went to Disney Hong Kong to see China’s version of Disney. At the risk of being sued by Disney, we can advise all our friends to save their money. It was truly a Micro Disney or Minni(e) Disney. The entire park would probably fit into just Tomorrow Land of Disney World in Orlando. The best part of the trip was pool slide in the resort hotel.
After finishing the first semesters, doing our every 5 year professional family photos, and winding down the soccer seasons, we capped off our year with the family’s annual pilgrimage to Goa to meet both Grandmas. We spent most of the holiday week scootering around town, eating great seafood dinners on the beach, hiking to the Spice Plantations, which was the true motivation behind Columbus discovering America. We are gearing up for the Winter in Shanghai and wish all our friends and family the best for 2006.
Keep in Touch,
The Majumdars
