While the family was in Florida for the month of July, Sareet returned to Taiwan and used the opportunity to sneak away for a 3 day week end in the Philippines. He went diving in Moalboal and tested out his new-found passion for underwater photography. Unfortunately, his passion far outpaces his ability. These photos of the dives really do not do justice to the amazing coral formations, colorful fish and fantastic visibility at Moalboal.
Sareet, Rob and the divemaster did 3 dives per day; starting each morning on Sunken Island, which is a phenomenal underwater island that goes down to 65 meters. They dropped down to about 35 meters of it and corkscrewed their way around the island. It was a breathtaking dive worth going back for. The other dive sites including Pescador Island, Alona Reef and House Reef (at night) were also beautiful in their own right. We saw turtles, large tuna, frog fish (which are extremely rare) and amazing coral fans up to 3 meters in height. We are ready to go back for another long weekend in October. All friends are welcome to join.
Keep in Touch,
The Majumdars
