Over Spring Break, Jay’s traveling soccer team took “traveling” to a whole new level by going to Italy to play some teams in the Perugia area. This was a major benefit of having an Italian coach, and it was fun for Jay and the parents who also went. Rajjina accompanied Jay. Their days were filled with two a day practices and games against local teams.
Unfortunately, the touring time was very limited, as they went into Rome for half a day and whizzed by Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and the Vatican. Rajjina and the other parents did enjoy the bottomless wine bottles and the excellent food. Jay was particularly fond of what he called the world’s best gelatto. The kids played well and enjoyed the camaraderie with the Italian coaches and players.
Upon their return, Jay and Shaun acted and performed in their school plays. Jay sang as Linus in Charlie Brown and wants to continue actively with the school drama program. They both also kept busy with the School Track team with Shaun participating in the FSU Relays and constantly improving his mile and two mile times.
Keep in Touch,
